This component replaces the stock shift lever in 2008-14 model year Subaru WRX's, 2005-09 Legacy GT, and 2006-08 Forester XT's. The overall shift throw is decreased by 40%, providing a noticeable difference and a solid feel. Constructed of CNC'd and TIG welded 4130 Cr-Mo steel the short shift installs with simple mechanic's tools in under 30 minutes. Matched with a set of Kartboy shifter bushings (optional), a major improvement in the shifting is immediately felt while retaining the factory reverse lock-out. Made in USA.
Fitment Note:
- All Kartboy 5 Speed Short Shifters require some minor modifications to the shifter plate trim ring during installation.
